The seaside is proving popular for young people keen to make the move to a city, with Hove and Brighton leading the pack for those aged between 25 and 44 looking to relocate at this time.
This is according to new research from Lloyds Bank, which has found that regional hotspots like Ilkley in Bradford, Jesmond in Newcastle, Didsbury in south Manchester Harborne in Birmingham and Clifton in Bristol are also of interest to young urbanites eager to buy a new property.
“Unlike many of the other areas in the survey, Brighton and Hove have the attraction of being by the sea with some outstanding beach front properties and, with average property prices here 38 per cent (or £199,000) lower than London yet still being within commuting distance, it’s easy to see the desirability of living there,” mortgages director with Lloyds Bank Andy Hulme remarked.
However, the top 20 places for younger people to move to were predominantly taken up by places in south-west London, including Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Battersea, Streatham and Fulham.
If you’re thinking of moving home, consider enlisting the services of Bromley removal men to come and help. Hiring professional movers is always advisable, especially if you have a huge number of belongings and are travelling long distances.
Rather than trying to do it yourself, make the journey that much easier by bringing someone in to help with the heavy lifting and the driving. Professional removal services will know how best to pack possessions, how to move expensive big ticket items and how to deliver them safely to your new home.
