Living in the right part of town is a key consideration for would-be homeowners it would seem, with new research revealing that it’s all about location for the majority of people in the UK – something Biggin Hill removals services no doubt know all about.
Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ latest Homebuyers Research has found that 59 per cent of homeowners are intent on living in the right area, with those in Scotland the most keen to ensure their new home is in the best location possible (64 per cent).
Other key points that people bear in mind when considering moving house is being close to family, which was considered to be more important than being close to work across the UK apart from London – no doubt because the commute to work in the capital means that people are eager to live as close to the office as possible.
“Everyone is looking for something different from their dream home, however our research has shown that for the majority of homeowners the location of the property is something they are not willing to compromise on. We know that moving home can be a stressful time so we have a range of mortgages to suit differing needs and budgets to help make the process as easy as possible,” director of retail banking Steve Fletcher said.
It’s vital that you do your research into an area before you move so that there are no nasty surprises. Spend as much time there as possible before you buy and make a point of chatting to local people to find out what it’s actually like to live there.
